Disclosed are a phased array radio-frequency (RF) coil and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) having the same. The disclosed phased array RF coil includes a cylindrical frame including a coaxial inner frame and a coaxial outer frame having different diameters； and vertical loop coils arranged in a circumferential direction of the cylindrical frame. Each vertical loop coil includes an inner conductor extending in a lengthwise direction on the coaxial inner frame； an outer conductor extending in a lengthwise direction on the coaxial outer frame and facing the inner conductor； and a first resonant frequency adjustment capacitor for connecting one end of the inner conductor in the lengthwise direction and one end of the outer conductor in the lengthwise direction so that the phased array RF coil resonates at MRI operating frequency.위상 배열형 고주파 코일 및 이를 채용한 자기공명영상 장치가 개시된다. 개시된 위상 배열형 고주파 코일은 직경이 다르며 동축인 내측 프레임과 외측 프레임을 갖는 원통형 프레임과, 원통형 프레임의 둘레 방향으로 배열되는 복수의 수직 루프 코일들을 포함하며, 복수의 수직 루프 코일들 각각은 내측 프레임에 종방향으로 길게 연장되어 형성된 내측 도체와, 외측 프레임에 종방향으로 길게 연장되어 형성되며 내측 도체와 마주보는 외측 도체와, 내측 도체의 종방향의 일단과 외측 도체의 종방향의 일단을 연결하여 자기공명영상 동작주파수에서 공진하게 하는 제1 공진주파수 조절용 캐패시터를 포함한다.
