The present invention relates to a multipurpose implantable device which may be used in the treatment of lung associates conditions. The device may be referred to as endobronchial valve or as valvular bronchial blocker which may be used for creating a hypoventilation in a lung area with the preservation of a drainage function from the bronchus. Due to its design a one-size valvular bronchial blocker may be used for blocking a bronchus independently of the bronchus diameter, length and shape, and may be positioned by using essentially any bronchofiberscope.
