The present invention relates to an arterial blood pressure waveform detection apparatus and a method for detecting the arterial blood pressure waveform using the same. The present invention provides the arterial blood pressure detection apparatus which detects an arterial blood pressure waveform strongly as to an atrial fibrillation patient having unstable pulsation due to irregular heart beat and calibrates a blood pressure unit, by calibrating a unit of the blood pressure waveform using information blood pressure waveform sensed by a sensor in a body and information of blood pressure measured separately, after detecting a peak of the waveform from the blood pressure waveform and classifying the blood pressure according to a period unit, and also provides a method for detecting and calibrating the blood pressure waveform using the same.본 발명은 혈압파형 검출장치와 이를 이용한 혈압파형의 검출방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 신체에서 센서로 감지한 혈압파형으로부터 파형의 최고점을 검출하고 상기 혈압파형을 주기 단위로 구분한 후, 상기 혈압파형과 별도로 측정한 혈압의 정보를 이용하여 상기 혈압파형의 단위를 교정함으로써, 불규칙한 심장 박동으로 인하여 안정적이지 않은 맥박을 가지는 심방세동환자에 대하여도 강인하게 혈압파형을 검출하고 혈압 단위를 교정하는 혈압파형 검출장치를 제공하고, 또한 이를 이용한 혈압파형 검출 및 교정 방법을 제공한다.
