A novel hospital bed is developed for extending the length of the bed surface to accommodate patients of different heights without introducing any complex mechanism. This eliminates the need of fixed longer bed and the confusion at critical time looking for longer beds. The novel bed of the present invention has a larger diameter pipe, a smaller diameter pipe located at the leg end of the bed surface and a novel clamp pins. The novel clamp pins are used to hold the two pipes in place. The bed of the current invention can be used in any hospital, medical centres or nursing homes in order to admit patients of any heights and manage the space consumption accommodated by the bed.
