Systems and methods for controlling one or more types of pests include the use of one or more freestanding pesticidai baits positioned at a location below and/or adjacent to one or more foundation elements of a building stmcture. In one form, the pesticidai baits are formed by a compressed mixture of a pesticide and a bait material that is palatable to one or more types of pests. In another form however, the pesticidai baits are formed by an extruded mixture of a pesticide and a bait material that is palatable to one or more types of pests. In a further aspect of these forms, the bait material is palatable to one or more wood-destroying pest species such as termites. However, other embodiments, forms and applications are also envisioned.Linvention concerne des systèmes et des méthodes de lutte contre un ou plusieurs types dinsectes comprenant lutilisation dun ou plusieurs appâts pesticides sur pied positionnés sous et/ou à côté dun ou plusieurs éléments de fondation dune structure bâtiment. Dans une forme, les appâts pesticides sont formés dun mélange comprimé dun pesticide et dune substance appât appréciée par un ou plusieurs types dinsectes. Dans une autre forme, les appâts pesticides sont formés dun mélange extrudé dun pesticide et dune substance appât appréciée par un ou plusieurs types dinsectes.
