PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nematode resistance-inducing agent containing a compound showing plant resistance-inducing activity as an active ingredient, and to provide a nematode control method utilizing the compound.
SOLUTION: This nematode resistance-inducing agent contains sclareol as an active ingredient. Though sclareol itself does not have anti-nematode activity, nematode can be controlled by allowing an object plant such as a tomato to absorb sclareol.
