An accumulator (22) is disclosed. The accumulator (22) being couplable to an agricultural baler (18), and configured to support a crop package exiting a baler (18), the accumulator (22) comprising: a frame (42) including a first end, a second end, and a support surface (54) positioned between the first and the second ends, the support surface (54) configured to support the crop package that exits the baler (18)； a carriage (94, 98) selectively coupled to one or both of the first and second ends of the frame (42) and linearly moveable relative to the frame (42) between a retracted position and an extended position, the carriage (94, 98) configured to support the crop package when in the extended position； and a linkage (122) coupled to at least one of the frame (42) and the carriage (94, 98), the linkage (122) configured to move the carriage (94, 98) to at least one of the extended and retracted positions.
