The kit of parts comprises a first aqueous component comprising one or more amino acids, and a second aqueous component comprising an active halogen compound, wherein the pH of the first component and/or the second component is about 9 to 11.5. There is also provided a treatment preparation prepared from the components and uses thereof in the prevention and/or treatment of sores, wounds, ulcers or the like, or a fistula or otitis.
