The present invention relates to a thermoplastic composition comprising atleast one crystalline water sensitive polymer and at least one amorphous watersensitive polymer. The thermoplastic composition may optionally furthercomprise additional ingredients such as other polymers, tackifying resins,plasticizers, waxes, and mixtures thereof. The thermoplastic compositions areuseful in a variety of applications wherein water or moisture sensitivethermoplastic materials are employed such as various packaging adhesiveapplications including case and carton sealing, remoistenable adhesives,repulpable/recyclable adhesives and multiwall bag applications. The presentinvention is also useful for moisture activatable reinforcement strings andopening tapes for corrugated containers, as well as for a variety of nonwovenapplications such as body fluid impermeable barriers, core stabilizationadhesives, and construction adhesives.
