PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guide wire having high bonding strength of a coil spring to a core wire, furthermore, capable of shortening the shaping length when compared to a conventional wire.SOLUTION: A medical guide wire includes a core wire (10) having a distal end-side small diameter portion (11) and a proximal end-side large diameter portion (14) having an outside diameter larger than the outside diameter of the distal end-side small diameter portion (11), and a coil spring (20) which is attached to the outer circumference at the distal end-side small diameter portion (11) of the core wire (10) along the axial direction and is bonded to the core wire (10) at least the front end and rear end thereof, wherein the outside diameter at the proximal end-side large diameter portion (14) of the core wire (10) and the outside diameter of coil of the coil spring (20) are 0.012 inch or less, the front end of the coil spring (20) is bonded to the core wire (10) by an Au-Ge based solder, and the length of the rigid portion at the front end composed of the Au-Ge based solder is 0.1-0.5 mm.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】コアワイヤに対するコイルスプリングの固着強度が高く、しかも、従来のものと比較してシェイピング長さを短くすることができる医療用ガイドワイヤの提供。【解決手段】遠位端側小径部11と遠位端側小径部11より外径の大きい近位端側大径部14とを有するコアワイヤ10と、コアワイヤ10の遠位端側小径部11の外周に軸方向に沿って装着され、少なくとも先端部および後端部において、コアワイヤ10に固着されているコイルスプリング20とを有する医療用ガイドワイヤであって、コアワイヤ10の近位端側大径部14の外径およびコイルスプリング20のコイル外径が、何れも0.012インチ以下であり、コイルスプリング20の先端部は、Au-Ge系はんだにより、コアワイヤ10に固着され、Au-Ge系はんだによる先端硬直部分の長さが0.1~0.5mmである。【選択図】図1
