PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of finding proper position and alignment of a guide during a surgery using fluoroscopic examination.SOLUTION: A surgical device comprises an assembly used to position a patient-specific surgical instrument with a patients bone. The assembly comprises a radiopaque portion and a radiolucent portion, which provide an indication of the instrument, and alignment of a corresponding implant with respect to the bone, as well as an indication that the angle of the projection (or orientation of the view) of the alignment guide to assess the placement of the alignment guide relative to the underlying bony anatomy. The radiopaque portion includes a plurality of Kirschner steel wires, and reference markers, and includes a void allowing for alignment along a first length of the radiopaque portion.
