PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus, method, and program capable of highly accurately detecting a lesion, such as a diffusive lung disease, in such a manner that the lesion can be distinguished from blood vessels.SOLUTION: The medical image processing apparatus comprises: a medical image acquisition unit 11 for acquiring a medical image； and a lesion detection unit 12 for detecting a lesion region in the medical image.
