PURPOSE: A track ball of an ultrasound diagnosis device is provided to allow a user to fee the rotating speed and direction of a track ball because projections or recesses are formed on the surface of the track ball.CONSTITUTION: A ball(111) has a spherical surface which is partially exposed out of a control panel having function keys. Recesses(112) are formed at regular intervals on the ball. A first sensor(120) contacts the ball and allowed to rotate around a first rotary shaft(121). A second sensor(130) contacts the ball and allowed to rotate around a second rotary shaft(131) perpendicular to the first rotary shaft. The rotating direction and speed of the ball are sensed by the rotation of the first and second sensors. The ball has two rotating components that are parallel to the first and second rotary shafts, respectively.
