PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system comprising an intervertebral implant and a device for inserting the same that is simplified in terms of the intervertebral implant and/or its use and in view of the final positioning.SOLUTION: An intervertebral implant 101 is provided, comprising a top surface, a bottom surface, and a side wall extending between the top surface and the bottom surface, the intervertebral implant having a hollow space 105 formed within the intervertebral implant and accessible through an elongate opening extending through a recessed portion of the side wall. The hollow space has a spherical segment shape to receive an engagement portion 153 of a drive shaft of a device for insertion of an implant.
