There is provided a system (100) and method for breast monitoring. The system comprises a garment (102) that is adapted to at least partially cover at least one breast. The garment comprises at least one physiological characteristic sensor (104) that is configured to acquire one or more physiological characteristics of at least one breast of a subject wearing the garment (102). The system (100) also comprises at least one motion sensor (106) that is configured to acquire information on the subject wearing the garment (102).
