A medical device for treating hip joint osteoarthritis. The medical device comprising at least one artificial hip joint surface configured to replace a carrying surface of at least one of an acetabulum and a caput femur, and a first sealing member. The medical device is adapted to seal a hollow space together with at least one of: the acetabulum surface, an artificial acetabulum surface, the caput femur surface and an artificial caput femur surface. The medical device is further adapted to receive injected material into the sealed hollow space for creating an artificial hip joint surface.
