PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact trigger release type needle guard having a suitable elastic spring.SOLUTION: A needle guard device 100 is mountable to a pre-filled syringe 50 in its ready-to-fill state in an instantly fillable state. The device includes a device shield 20 interconnected to a lock collar 10 with a flexible member and energized to move relative to the lock collar. The lock collar interfaces with a syringe neck to attach the device to the syringe.
