Combination preparations for the treatment of cancer are described. The combination preparation includes (a) a LAG-3 protein or derivative thereof capable of binding to MHC class II molecules； and (b) an antineoplastic agent that is a platinum-based antineoplastic agent or topoisomerase I inhibitor. A method for the treatment of cancer using the combination preparation is also described.
