The present invention relates to the use of apotransferrin for the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of brain stroke. Particularly the invention relates to the use of apotransferrin for the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of brain strokes wherein the drug prepared with apotransferrin is for administration by vascular route, preferably intravenous or intraarterial.La présente invention concerne l'utilisation d'apotransferrine en vue de la préparation d'un médicament permettant de traiter un accident vasculaire cérébral. L'invention concerne, en particulier, l'utilisation d'apotransferrine en vue de la préparation d'un médicament permettant de traiter les accidents vasculaires cérébraux, ledit médicament à base d'apotransferrine étant destiné à une administration par voie vasculaire et, de préférence, par voie intraveineuse ou intra-artérielle.
