<;P>;PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is important to activate the intestinal immunity for maintaining human health; but, although in conventional technologies, the development and research of lactobacillus strains having intestinal immunoactivating effects have been advanced, means usable in combination with these lactobacillus strains and intended to enhance their abilities safely and effectively have not been sufficiently considered and examined. <;P>;SOLUTION: A refined β-1,3-1,6-D-glucan, freed from impurities such as medium-derived components from a culture solution of bacteria belonging to Aureobasidium sp., is used as a promoter with immunoactivating effects which lactobacillus bacteria or their treated products have. By the combined use of the refined β-glucan and the lactobacillus bacteria, the IgA antibody production from Peyer's patch cells can be substantially increased as compared to the case of using such lactobacillus bacteria or their treated products as a single substance. Thus, the aimed immunoactivator that effects intestinal activation and is useful for preventing infectious diseases stemmed from pathogenic microbes and health hazards stemmed from toxins produced by such microbes is provided. <;P>;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
