PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collecting performance equal to a case using a urea based adhesive in an aldehydes collector for an M-type woody plate used by adding or dispersing in a woody material or a melamine adhesive when the woody plate is manufactured by using the woody material and the melamine adhesive.

SOLUTION: The aldehydes collector for the M-type woody plate being powderly at an ordinary temperature comprises at least one compound for collecting aldehydes which has a property generating an acidic gas having reactivity with the aldehydes by heating, has a mean particle diameter of &ge0.6 mm, and is solid at an ordinary temperature.
