The disclosure relates to a method for gradually coloring hair comprising the steps of: (a) applying an air oxidation haircolor composition to hair； (b) removing the air oxidation haircolor composition from the hair directly after application； and (c) repeating a set comprising the steps (a) and (b) in multiple spaced intervals.
