PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for modifying soil as such a technique as to enable long-term modifying treatment to deteriorated soil under easy management.SOLUTION: The method for modifying soil includes burying a prescribed number of stick-like bodies formed by binding or twisting string-like fibrous materials or woody materials long and thin in one direction, into the depth of 20-50 cm below the ground while exposing the upper edges thereof at the surface of the earth. The method enables modification of the deteriorated soil only on the surface layer of which an organic substance layer remains and the organic substance layer of which is sequentially faded away due to strong wind and/or heavy rain, and thus opportunities to grow into the deep layer of the organic substance layer are spoiled, so that the organic substance layer is regenerated.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】長期間にわたる劣化土壌の改質処理を、容易な管理にておこなえる技術を提供すること。【解決手段】一方向に細長い糸状の繊維質素材ないし木質素材を束ねてまたは撚ってなる棒状体を、上端は地表に露出させつつ、地下20cmから50cmまでの深さまで、単位面積あたり所定の本数埋入することを特徴とする土壌改質方法である。表層にしか有機物層が残存しておらず、強風や豪雨により逐次有機物層が消失してしまい有機物層の深層への成長機会が損なわれた劣化土壌を改質し、有機物層の再生をおこなわしむる。【選択図】図4
