The encapsulation may be by a lipophilic matrix containing 50-100 wt.% of one or more lipophilic components selected from triglycerides, diglcyerides, monoglycerides, esters of monoglycerides, esters of diglycerides, phospholipids, fatty acid esters of sugars and waxes. The animal feed may be calf milk replacer or sow milk replacer.
