617763 The disclosure relates to chemical and biological agents derived from pseudomonas for the control of bivalvia (bivalve) and gastropoda (gastropod) molluscs. Particularly the disclosure relates to A composition comprising one or more substances effective for controlling a member of the gastropoda or bivalvia class and an clay mineral (such as kaolinite, smectite, attapulgitc) where the one or more substances is a compound obtainable from Pseudomonas species or a cell suspension derived from a pseudomonas species. Particularly preferred is pseudomonas fluorescens and more particularly strain ATCC 55799. Method of controlling gastropoda or bivalvia using the compositions is also disclosed as is the use of an inert carrier to enhance the efficacy of the substances. Further an anti-fouling paint is disclosed comprising the disclosed composition.
