PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a termite-preventing agent which is excellent in a termite-preventing performance and has enhanced safety for humans, beasts and environments.SOLUTION: This termite-preventing agent is characterized by containing at least one ecdysteroid selected from the group consisting of ponasterone A, makisterone A and inokosterone as an active ingredient. For example, an extract of a plant belonging to genera Podocarpus and Achyranthes is used.
