PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enhanced endoscope assembly.SOLUTION: A flexible auxiliary endoscope assembly for use with an endoscope 104 includes an elongate element 122 and an elongate channel 130 configured to be installed at different positions on a distal end portion of the endoscope. The elongate channel is configured to accommodate a portion of the elongate element such that the length of the elongate element is variable. At least one of the elongate element and the elongate channel is flexible, and the variable length varies depending on the curvature of the endoscope.
