PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety and powerful therapeutic agent for hepatitis without carcinogenic risk and with clear and effective action mechanism.
SOLUTION: The therapeutic agent for hepatitis comprises a platelet production-promoting substance as an active ingredient. Any substance having ability to increase numbers of platelet in the blood may be used as the platelet production-promoting substance, such as thrombopoietin, a product of the genetic engineering technique of the thrombopoiethin, or a chemical modification derivative (PEG-rHuMGDF) with enhanced bioactivities which originates from a natural substance.
