PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid detergent composition which shows excellent foaming, has stiff feeling and irritation suppressed despite having thick foam quality, and shows suppressed occurrence of surface roughness and deterioration of storage stability.SOLUTION: The solid detergent composition comprises the following components, (A), (B), and (C), and is limited to (D): (A) 65 to 97 wt.% of a fatty acid salt having an acyl group having an average number of constituent carbon atoms of 13.5 to 15.5 (B) 0.5 to 3.0 wt.% of an amphoteric surfactant (C) 0.05 to 2.00 wt.% of at least one polymeric compound selected from cationic polymers and amphoteric polymers and (D) an inorganic salt content in the solid detergent composition limited to 0.1 wt% or less.
