A refill for a liquid to be emanated into the atmosphere wherein the refill comprises: • a housing (2) having an inner volume and an outer surface • at least one reservoir (3) in the inner volume of the housing for holding the liquid (4) • at least one aperture (5,6) in the housing sealed by a sealing means (7,8) • and at least one wick (14) provided on or connected to the outer surface of the housing (2), wherein said wick(s) (14) does not ex¬ tend to the inner volume of the housing (2), • wherein said sealing means are preferably provided by a valve (7,8) • and wherein a capillary tube (12) may be provided to transport said liquid (4) to said wick (14).
