Disclosed herein are stable herbicidal solid compositions and granules, containing； an active herebicide ingredient selected from ACCase or ALS enzyme inhibitors, for example cyhalofop-butyl, penoxsulam, bensulfuron-methyl, azimsulfuron, imazosulfuron or fenoxaprop-P-ethyl in an amount from 1 gram per kg of total composition to 200 g/kg, a built-in adjuvant in an amount from 50 g/kg to 750g/kg, a solid carbohydrate in an amount from 10g/kg to 700g/kg and a water soluble polymer or oligomer in an amount from 50 to 700 g/kg with the proviso that the solid carbohydrate and the solid, water soluble polymer or oligomer must together comprise at least 200 g/kg of the total composition. The compositions exhibits improved herbicidal efficacy when used to control weeds in flooded rice paddies or fields.
