A subject matter of the present invention is a composition for topical application comprising hydrophobic silica aerogel particles at least one semicrystalline polymer which is solid at ambient temperature and which has a melting point of less than 70°C, comprising a) a polymeric backbone and b) at least one crystallizable organic side chain and/or one crystallizable organic block forming part of the backbone of said polymer, said polymer having a number-average molecular weight of greater than or equal to 2000 and at least one fatty phase. Another subject matter of the invention is a method for the cosmetic treatment of keratinous substances which consists in applying, to the keratinous substances, a composition as defined above, and also the use of this composition in the cosmetic or dermatological field, in particular for caring for, protecting and/or making up the skin of the body or face or for caring for the hair.
