Provided is a method for performing printing on a recording paper with a medical apparatus that continuously prints acquired biological information of a patient on the recording paper while feeding the recording paper. The method includes reading a first identification image attached to the recording paper; determining whether or not the recording paper is a genuine product on the basis of a comparison result between information based on the read first identification image and paper information previously stored in the medical apparatus; reading a second identification image attached to the recording paper, and determining whether or not the recording paper is within an expiration date on the basis of expiration date information included in information based on the read second identification image; and printing the biological information on the recording paper in a case where the recording paper is determined to be the genuine product and the recording paper is determined to be within the expiration date.
