PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lighting device having high durability and mass-producing, the lighting device quickly diffusing generated heat from a light-emitting diode (LED) light source, stopping temperature rise of the LED light source at a range of few degrees Celsius, sufficiently separating the LED light source from a high humidity environment such as a plant factory, and preventing deterioration of lifetime and luminance of the LED light source and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.

SOLUTION: In the LED lighting device 1, LED light-emitting units 10 having many LED chips 11 are mounted on one surface of a cooling panel 2, spacers 7 are connected between the cooling panel 2 and a light-transmitting plate 8 such as a glass plate via primary seal materials 30, secondary seal materials 9 are arranged on outside respective spacers 7, channel-shaped right and left side frame members 13, 13 are fitted to the cooling panel 2 and a long side of the light-transmitting plate 8 so as to cover the secondary seal materials 9, 9, and the cooling panel 2 and both ends at front and back sides of the light-transmitting plate 8 are blocked with lid materials 14, 14 for covering the secondary seal materials 9, 9.
