PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage container capable of stably storing a liquid sample by purging gas remaining in the storage container and perfectly eliminating a head space in the container, and allowing a storage liquid such as the liquid sample in the storage container to be sampled without changing its concentration.SOLUTION: This storage container includes: a container body 1 comprising a cylindrical body part 11, a bottom 12 provided at a lower end of the body part and an opening 13 provided at an upper end and a lid 2 comprising a cylindrical outer wall 21, an inner cylinder 22 provided inside the outer wall, and a top plate 23 covering a region from the upper end of the outer wall to the upper end of the inner cylinder.
