PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel leg retainer including a movable hood whose wall thickness and weight can be saved effectively and efficiently while securing sufficient strength at a connection part between an operation nut and the movable hood.SOLUTION: A reel leg retainer includes an operation nut 18 and movable hood 15 that are connected by engaging a bent locking part 15f provided at an end of the movable hood 15 with a recess 18g at an end of the operation nut 18.
