The MRI static magnetic field adjustment instrument (150) includes a shim tray (152), a bottom spacer (157), and a magnetic material shim (154). The shim tray (152) is attached to the MRI and is provided with a shim pocket (153). The bottom spacer is housed in the shim pocket (153) so as to be in contact with the bottom surface of the shim pocket (153) and is made of a nonmagnetic material.
