The present invention includes: a head section (16) that has a bristle implanting hole (19) disposed on one surface (16a) side thereof and a bristle bundle (14) that is implanted in the bristle implanting hole (19), is formed from a plurality of bristles, and has a conical cone section (14-3) at the distal end section. The plurality of bristles have elliptical cut surfaces which constitute the side surface of the cone section (14-3). Towards the apex of the cone section (14-3) from the outer peripheral edge of the bottom surface of the cone section (14-3), the major axes of the ellipses of the cut surfaces become shorter.
