The invention relates to an implant for inserting into the Schlemm"s canal of an eye, wherein the circular Schlemm"s canal is exposed at least at one location and is carefully expanded circularly using an inserted and flexibly designed microcatheter and at the same time or subsequently, a high-molecular-weight viscoelastic substance is injected. The implant (35), which can be inserted into the lumen (16) of the Schlemm"s canal (15), comprises a small elongated tube having several openings or holes (35a) that are spaced in the axial direction by web-shaped ring parts (35c) and that are connected to the interior (35e) and at least one connecting part (35b) that is continuously oriented in the axial direction and that has an arc-shaped surface (35b"), which in the inserted state is arranged supportingly against the inner wall (16") of the lumen (16). The individual openings and holes form a direct connection that is permanently held open between the trabecular tissue (18) and the individual small canals (21",22") of the canal system (20") so that the natural transtrabecular outflow of the aqueous humor through the episcleral venous system into the blood circulations is ensured.
