The subject of the invention is a tensioner for metal wire or similar. The means serving as a bolt is composed of two parts which fit together, each by its shaft, each shaft comprising near its outer end a disk 12 or 13 of which at least the periphery of one of the two disks is provided on its inner surface with deep wide teeth which serve as a locking means; the said wire F first passes between the two shafts, and then by causing the tensioner to rotate on the wire F, the latter rolls around both of the shafts. The outer surface of at least one of the disks 12 or 13 comprises a nut 15b which allows the said tensioner to be rotated around the wire F by means of a spanner. The invention applies to a tensioner for metal wire. <IMAGE>
