Intravascular devices and systems include a flexible elongate member having components configured to detect a patient's physiological condition when in a patient's blood vessel. The probe further includes a connector joint permanently secured to the proximal portion of the flexible elongate member to prevent rotation. The connector joint may be sized for the medical practitioner to grip and rotate to rotate the flexible elongate member when the flexible elongate member is in the patient's blood vessel.
