The present invention relates to a method for metabolically loading a pharmaceutical agent into an extracellular vesicle (EV). The method comprises culturing the EV source cells in the presence of a metabolic component comprising a pharmaceutical agent, whereby it is incorporated into cells producing EV and then incorporated into EV.
