The present invention relates to an apparatus and method thereof to remove motion noise by using a PPG signal. According to the present invention, the motion noise removing method includes: a step of receiving a PPG signal and a triaxial (X, Y, Z axes) acceleration signal； a step of extracting the PPG signal and the triaxial acceleration signal in a predetermined time section, and filtering the signals with a preset bandwidth； a step of transforming the PPG signal and triaxial acceleration signal, corresponding to the section, into a frequency domain through Fourier transform； a step of arranging a power spectrum for X, Y, and Z axes from a smaller value to a larger value by calculating average power for each frequency domain in relation to triaxial acceleration； and a step of extracting a final spectrum for the PPG signal by sequentially removing the power spectrum for the X, Y, and Z axes acceleration signal from a power spectrum for the PPG signal in order of the arrangement. According to the present invention, the apparatus is capable of stably and efficiently removing a motion noise by gradually removing a triaxial acceleration value from a PPG signal in order from an axis with a small average value, and the present invention is capable of reducing computation, as compared to existing motion noise removal algorithm.본 발명은 PPG 신호를 이용한 동잡음 제거 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로 본 발명에 따른 동잡음 제거 장치를 이용한 동잡음 제거 방법에 있어서, 피측정자로부터 측정된 PPG 신호와 3축(X축,Y축,Z축) 가속도 신호를 수신하는 단계, 상기 PPG 신호와 3축 가속도 신호를 일정 시간 단위의 구간으로 추출하고, 기 설정된 대역폭으로 필터링하는 단계, 상기 추출된 구간에 해당하는 PPG 신호 및 3축 가속도 신호를 푸리에 변환하여 주파수 도메인으로 변환하는 단계, 상기 3축 가속도에 대한 주파수 도메인 각각의 평균 파워를 연산하여 평균 파워 스펙트럼이 작은 값부터 큰 값을 가지도록 X축, Y축, Z축에 대한 파워 스펙트럼을 배열하는 단계, 그리고 상기 PPG 신호에 대한 파워 스펙트럼에서 상기 X축, Y축, Z축 가속도에 대한 파워 스펙트럼을 상기 배열한 순서대로 순차적으로 제거하여 상기 PPG 신호에 대한 최종 파워 스펙트럼을 추출하는 단계를 포함한다.본 발명에 따르면, PPG 신호에서 3축 가속도 값을 작은 평균 값을 가지는 축부터 점진적으로 제거함으로써, 안정적이고 효율적으로 동잡음을 제거할 수 있다. 또한, 기존의 동잡음 제거 알고리즘에 비해 보다 계산량이 간소해지는 장점이 있다.
