PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing antibacterial hydrogel using Coptis chinensis FRANCH extract is provided to promote wound healing and to enhance antibacterial function. CONSTITUTION: Antibacterial hydrogel using Coptis chinensis FRANCH extract contains polyvinyl alcohol, succinic acid, and carboxyl methyl cellulose in a weight ratio of 10:0.5-1.9:2-4. The antibacterial hydrogel contains 0.1-60 wt% of the Coptis chinensis FRANCH extract based on total weight of polyvinyl alcohol, succinic acid, and carboxyl methyl cellulose. The extract is a hot water extract. The antibacterial hydrogel is used for wound healing and sterilizing. The antibacterial hydrogel is used as a medical material.본 발명은 황련추출물을 이용한 항균 하이드로겔 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 폴리비닐알코올(polyvinyl alcohol), 숙신산(succinic acid), 카르복시메틸 셀룰로오스(carboxymethyl cellulose) 및 황련추출물을 포함하는 항균 하이드로겔 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따르면, 우수한 함수특성으로 상처에 적절한 습윤 환경을 제공하여 상처치유를 촉진할 뿐 아니라, 항균활성이 우수하여 감염이 우려되는 상처나 감염된 상처의 치료에 매우 효과적으로 적용할 수 있다.
