The invention relates a composition in form of a stable oil-in-water emulsion comprising: a) at least one natural clay which belongs to the class of saponites clay minerals and has a cation exchange capability equal or lower than 40 meq per 100 g of dry clay, b) a dispersed oil component, and c) an aqueous continuous phase.L'invention concerne une composition sous la forme d'une émulsion huile dans eau stable comprenant: a) au moins une argile naturelle qui appartient à la classe des minéraux argileux saponifiés et qui présente une capacité d'échange de cations inférieure ou égale à 40 meq par 100 g d'argile sèche； b) un constituant huile dispersé； et c) une phase continue aqueuse.
