PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of improving accuracy in biometric authentication while preventing unauthorized utilization by means of copy of fingerprint.SOLUTION: A user wearable biometric authentication apparatus 10 includes: a biological information acquisition section 11 which is disposed at position where a finger of a user comes into contact therewith, when the user makes a first operation to put on the biometric authentication apparatus 10 as well as when the user makes a second operation to put off the biometric authentication apparatus 10, to acquire a piece of biological information of the user from the contact finger of the user； and a biometric authentication section 136 that performs an authentication operation of the user based on the biological information.
