The present invention relates to a vaccine composition for preventing or treating brucellosis, which comprises recombinant organic hydroxide resistance (Ohr) protein derived from Brucella abortus strains as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, after a recombinant Ohr protein derived from Brucella abortus strains is administered to a subject suffering from brucellosis, it is shown that immunogenicity and a humoral immunity response appear highly. It is also shown that when pathogenic Brucella abortus bacteria are aggressively inoculated after the immunization with the recombinant Ohr protein, the weight of spleen and the number of Brucella abortus bacteria in the spleen are reduced. Therefore, the vaccine composition according to the present invention can reduce damages caused by infection with Brucella abortus strains by using the recombinant Ohr protein as an active ingredient thereof, and thus can be used widely for effectively preventing or treating brucellosis.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017본 발명은 브루셀라 어보투스 균주 유래의 Ohr 재조합 단백질을 유효성분으로 포함하는 브루셀라 감염증 예방 또는 치료용 백신 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에서는 브루셀라 어보투스(Brucellaabortus) 균주로부터 유래된 Ohr(Organic hydroxide resistance) 재조합 단백질을 이용하여 브루셀라 감염증이 발병된 개체에 투여한 결과, 면역원성 및 체액성 면역반응이 높게 나타났으며, Ohr 재조합 단백질을 면역시킨 후 병원성 브루셀라 균을 공격접종하였을 때, 비장의 무게 및 비장 내 브루셀라 균의 수가 감소되는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서, 본 발명의 백신 조성물은 그의 유효성분인 Ohr 재조합 단백질에 의하여 브루셀라 균주가 감염되어도 이로 인한 피해를 감소시킬 수 있으므로, 보다 효과적인 브루셀라 감염증의 예방 또는 치료에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
