The device further includes a steering handle (116) operatively associated with a proximal end portion of the sheath and having an actuation mechanism operatively connected to the at least one steering wire accommodated within the at least one lateral passages of the sheath for steering the deflectable distal end portion of the sheath in at least one direction.
