IMPROVED CLOSURE SYSTEM FOR A CAGE CONTAINING LABORATORY Abstract The present invention provides for a closure system for a cage containing laboratory animals, where in an upper edge (21) of the base (2) of the cage an U shaped housing towards the outside of the edge hosts a gasket (22) having a lip (23) projecting out of the upper edge, and bending in contact with a side rim (24) of the top (1), said side rim overlapping said upper edge, and comprising at least two latches (7), connected on one side (7') to the base (2), and having a bending line (7") with a smaller thickness, and a projecting hook (7.') at the opposite side, to be restrained in a slot (11) in the top (1), so that in operation the latch bends in the bending line (7") and the projecting hook (7"') can be engaged to or disengaged from the slot (11).
