At least one of the shoes measures the number of steps related to the shoe on the basis of a sensor that detects exercise impacting the shoe and results of the detection of exercise by the sensor. The shoe stores exercise information including the number of steps measured during a given period such that the period can be identified, and transmits the stored exercise information to the communication terminal upon request.
